This two-storeyed construction sits on a plinth of basalt building blocks and supports a slate gable roof. The roof structure, the right gable and the rear eaves side are exposed to weather in the museum, so they were clad with slate. The two remaining sides display their timber-frame structure without ornamental decoration.<\/p>\n

This typical Nassau residential dwelling was part of a farmstead at the original location. The barn and stable were torn down in 1963. The original farmstead arrangement was not recreated when the dwelling was reassembled in the museum. Moreover, the internal layout was significantly altered to enable the museum to display its communications technology devices, some of which require a great deal of space. A permanent exhibition is housed in this building, entitled \u201eWired!
