Farm life in winter 1910

8. November 2026, 11:00 - 16:00
When it becomes cold and dark outside, people draw closer together. In the farmstead surrounding the residential house from Nieder-Gemünden, the interpreters show how winter was spent in the countryside around 1910. In the parlor, various handicrafts are done by the warm stove, and stories are told. And there is plenty to do outdoors as well, such as feeding the animals or handling smaller tasks in the stable and workshop. Whether farmer, maid, or farmhand — at the end of the day, everyone looks forward to a hot meal. “Farm Life 1910” offers insights into everyday life between periods of rest and the sense of winter togetherness.
