Foresters Hunter Camp

1. September 2024, 11:00 - 17:00
Today, visitors can delve into 18th century forest and camp life. Historic foresters carry out surveys and forest work, play hunting horn signals and demonstrate which tools were used for hunting and forestry. There are also guided tours through the Open Air Museum’s woodland.
Most of the actors in the camp belong to the Society for Hessian Military and Civil History. The project is managed by Hessenpark’s long-standing historical forester, Karl-Matthias Groß.
