Launch of Special Exhibition: ‘Everyday Life Trough The Lens. Our Photos’

For more than 150 years, photography has accompanied our lives. It captures people at work and at leisure, reflecting everyday life and social roles. Photographs are more than memories – they are historical sources.

Starting today at 11 a.m., the exhibition presents selected images from the collections of the Open Air Museum Hessenpark – from spontaneous snapshots to family portraits. It reveals how people stage their worlds – and what remains outside the frame. Photographs never show everything; they are fragments shaped by technology and perspective. The exhibition invites visitors to remember, reflect, and discover new perspectives on everyday culture.
