With the rise of motorization, life in rural areas changed fundamentally. From the late 1950s onward, motorcycles, cars, and tractors increasingly became part of everyday life — distances grew shorter, and town and country moved closer together.
This themed day focuses on mobility in the post-war period. The museum illustrates how traditional means of transport, such as bicycles, and new motorized vehicles coexisted for a time and together shaped the transformation of rural life.
