The Hessenpark Open Air Museum has had its own museum shop since July 2015. It is located in the entrance building, which is a barn originally from Westerfeld. The changing range of goods includes products from the demonstrations, publications about the exhibitions and other books, postcards, pens, magnets, bags, and much more.
Also included in the offering are various German saddleback sausage specialities and seasonal produce such as potatoes and old varieties of apples which are grown on the museum site. The Hessenpark Open Air Museum has been a recognised organisation in accordance with the EU’s eco regulation since 2015, which is why all the agricultural products have the organic quality stamp of approval.
In addition to its own items, the museum shop also offers selected volumes on topics concerning crafts, cuisine, fairytales and hiking in Hesse. And of course, you can also buy genuine Hessian souvenirs.
